Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 15 October 2026

Welcome to Aweside Farm!

We're a small organic farm in Arlington, East Sussex, growing edible flowers and herbs that we harvest by hand and carefully prepare for our customers.

These Terms & Conditions explain how our website works, what to expect when ordering from us, and your rights and responsibilities as a customer.

Please read them before placing an order. If you have any questions, we're always happy to help at orders@awesidefarm.co.uk.

1. About us

This website, www.awesidefarm.co.uk, is operated by Aweside Farm, based at:

Aweside Farm
The Street, Arlington
Polegate, East Sussex
BN26 6RY
United Kingdom

Email: orders@awesidefarm.co.uk
Telephone: 07540 301996

Our online store is powered by Shopify, but all purchases made through our website are contracts between you and Aweside Farm.

These terms apply to purchases made through our website, including purchases by individual consumers and business customers, unless separate written trade terms have been agreed.

Nothing in these terms affects your statutory consumer rights.

2. Our products

We grow and produce edible flowers, dried herbs and culinary powders here at Aweside Farm.

We make every effort to ensure that our product descriptions, photographs, ingredient information and prices are accurate.

As our products are grown naturally, some variation in colour, shape, size and appearance is to be expected.

Photographs are provided to represent our products as accurately as possible, but colours may appear differently depending on your screen and device settings.

Any natural variation does not affect your statutory rights to receive products that match their description and meet applicable quality requirements.

Product packaging and labelling may change as we develop our range. Products supplied will carry the legally required information.

3. Organic certification

Aweside Farm is an organically certified business. Our License number is 29626 and we are certified via the Soil Association.

Products described or labelled as organic are supplied in accordance with the organic certification applicable to those products.

Not every product sold through our website is necessarily certified organic unless expressly identified as such - this may be due to us growing in pots rather than directly in the ground, application for produce like Violas where soil based growing is unfeasible. This will always be made clear if it is the case that something in our product range has been grown in containers and therefore doesn't fit into our organic license. We can assure you, all growing practices follow strict organic standards that are checked yearly.

We take care to maintain the integrity and traceability of our organic products throughout growing, harvesting, processing and packing.

4. Food safety, allergies and storage

Our products are intended for culinary use in accordance with their descriptions and instructions.

Please read all product labels, ingredients, storage instructions and any allergen information before consuming our products.

Although edible flowers and herbs are widely used in food, individual sensitivities and allergic reactions can occur.

If you have a known allergy or are uncertain whether an ingredient is suitable for you, please seek appropriate advice before consumption.

We do not recommend testing an ingredient by consuming a small amount if you suspect an allergy.

Our dried products should be stored in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, with containers properly closed after use.

Fresh edible flowers should be refrigerated and handled in accordance with the instructions supplied.

Please observe the best-before or use-by information provided on individual products.

Nothing in this section excludes or limits our liability for supplying unsafe, defective or incorrectly described food.

5. Product availability

All products are subject to availability.

As we grow and harvest all of our edible flowers, herbs and ingredients seasonally, some products may only be available at particular times of year or in limited quantities.

We aim to keep stock information accurate, but occasionally an item may become unavailable after an order has been placed.

If this happens, we'll contact you to discuss an alternative, a delay or a refund.

We won't substitute products without your agreement.

6. Placing an order

When you place an order through our website, you are offering to purchase the selected products at the prices displayed.

After placing your order, you'll receive an order confirmation email.

We accept your order when we send confirmation that it has been accepted or dispatched. If we cannot accept your order, we'll let you know and refund any payment taken for products we cannot supply.

Please check your order details carefully before completing your purchase, particularly your delivery address and contact information.

If you need to make a change, please contact us as soon as possible.

7. Prices and payment

All prices are displayed in pounds sterling (£).

Product prices and any applicable taxes are displayed on our website. Delivery charges and the total amount payable will be shown at checkout before you confirm your purchase.

We reserve the right to change our prices, but changes will not affect orders already accepted.

Payment must be made using one of the payment methods available at checkout, unless alternative arrangements have been agreed with us in writing.

Payments are processed securely through the payment services integrated with our Shopify store.

8. Delivery and collection

We currently offer delivery within the United Kingdom using Royal Mail.

Delivery methods, charges, dispatch arrangements and estimated delivery times are explained in our Shipping Policy:

https://awesidefarm.co.uk/policies/shipping-policy

Delivery estimates are not guaranteed unless expressly agreed as a guaranteed delivery service.

If there is a delay or problem with your delivery, please contact us so we can investigate.

For consumer orders where we arrange the carrier, responsibility for the goods remains with us until they are delivered into your possession or that of a person you have identified to receive them, subject to applicable law.

We also offer free collection from Aweside Farm by arrangement.

Please wait until you've received confirmation that your order is ready before travelling to the farm.

9. Fresh edible flowers

Fresh edible flowers are seasonal products, harvested according to availability and growing conditions.

Fresh products may be available for local collection or through separately arranged supply agreements.

Because fresh flowers are highly perishable, they require appropriate handling and refrigeration.

Fresh edible flowers are supplied with relevant storage and handling information.

Please follow the instructions provided and contact us promptly if there is a problem with their condition or quality.

10. Cancellations, returns and refunds

We want you to be happy with your purchase.

If you change your mind, receive an incorrect item or have a problem with your order, please contact us at orders@awesidefarm.co.uk.

Our Returns & Refunds Policy explains the applicable cancellation periods, return arrangements and refund procedures:

https://awesidefarm.co.uk/policies/refund-policy

Some products, including goods liable to deteriorate or expire rapidly, may be exempt from the usual change-of-mind cancellation rights.

Certain sealed goods may also be exempt after unsealing where the applicable health protection or hygiene conditions are met.

These exceptions do not remove your rights if goods are faulty, damaged or not as described.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions limits your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or other applicable consumer protection legislation.

11. Wholesale and business orders

We welcome orders from businesses, including bakers, chefs, caterers, retailers and other trade customers and our trade offering can be viewed on our Wholesale and Trade page.

Business customers may be eligible for separate wholesale pricing, volume discounts or supply arrangements.

Where separate trade terms have been agreed in writing, those terms will apply to the relevant business order.

Customers purchasing wholly or mainly for business purposes do not necessarily have the same statutory cancellation rights as individual consumers.

Unless otherwise agreed, orders placed through our public online store are subject to the prices, payment and delivery arrangements displayed at checkout.

Business customers purchasing products for resale or use in their own food products are responsible for complying with the legal requirements applicable to their own activities, including appropriate handling, storage and provision of food information.

Nothing in this section excludes any responsibility that Aweside Farm has under applicable law.

12. Website content and intellectual property

Unless otherwise stated, the photographs, text, illustrations, graphics, designs, logos and other original content on this website belong to Aweside Farm or are used with permission.

You may browse our website and download or print information for personal reference or legitimate business purchasing purposes.

You may not reproduce, redistribute or commercially exploit our original website content without prior written permission, except where permitted by law.

If you'd like to use our photographs, branding or other content, please contact us.

13. Customer accounts

You may be able to place orders as a guest or through a customer account, depending on the options available on our website.

If you create an account, you are responsible for providing accurate information and keeping your login details secure.

Please notify us if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.

We reserve the right to restrict access to accounts used fraudulently or unlawfully, subject to applicable law.

14. Customer reviews and feedback

We welcome genuine feedback about our products and services.

If you submit a review, you confirm that the content reflects your genuine experience and that you have the necessary rights to any photographs or other material you provide.

By submitting a review for publication on our website, you grant Aweside Farm a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display and reproduce that review in connection with our products and services, subject to applicable law and our Privacy Policy.

We may moderate reviews to remove spam, unlawful content, personal information or material that breaches these terms.

We will not selectively remove genuine negative reviews simply because they are critical of our products or services.

15. Website use and third-party services

You agree to use our website lawfully and not to interfere with its operation, security or functionality.

Our website may contain links to third-party websites or services.

These third parties may operate under their own terms and privacy policies.

Our online store is hosted by Shopify, but Aweside Farm remains responsible for its sales contracts with customers.

16. Liability

We take reasonable care to ensure that our products, website and services meet applicable legal requirements.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, breach of statutory consumer rights, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

We are not responsible for losses arising solely from events outside our reasonable control, except where applicable law provides otherwise.

Where permitted by law, we are not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when the contract was made.

This section does not affect your rights to appropriate remedies where we fail to meet our legal or contractual obligations.

17. Privacy and personal information

We respect your privacy and handle personal information in accordance with applicable UK data protection legislation.

Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store and share personal information, including information processed through Shopify and our service providers.

You can read it here:

https://awesidefarm.co.uk/policies/privacy-policy

18. Complaints and customer support

If something has gone wrong with your order or you're unhappy with any aspect of our service, please get in touch.

We'll investigate your concerns and aim to resolve matters fairly and promptly.

Email: orders@awesidefarm.co.uk

You can also write to us at the postal address provided in Section 1.

19. Events outside our control

Occasionally, circumstances beyond our reasonable control may affect our ability to fulfil an order.

These could include severe weather, postal disruption, infrastructure failures or other unexpected events.

If such circumstances significantly affect your order, we'll contact you where reasonably possible to explain the situation and discuss the available options.

Your statutory rights, including rights relating to delayed or undelivered goods, remain unaffected.

20. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time to reflect changes to our business, website or legal obligations.

The latest version will be published on this page with an updated revision date.

Changes will not retrospectively alter the terms of an order already accepted unless legally permitted or agreed with you.

21. Governing law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, subject to any mandatory legal rights that allow consumers to bring proceedings elsewhere.

Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights.
